On line Decluttering.

4/27/2015

When I first spoke about doing the decluttering online. People looked at me a bit funny. I knew that they were thinking it sounded a bit strange. The first time I did a session on line for a client I got her to send a photo of her bedside table. When I received the photo I just sat and looked at it, I then wrote  what I felt was there to be expressed, it was as if I was in the same room as the person,  what was there to be felt regardless of were I was.
Offering support whether a session is on the phone, Skype or through emails it is no different to being in the room.

clearing my wardrobe

When I have clothes that need to go,  my wardrobe talks to me,
it is telling me to clean out and let go of something that no longer
reflects me. By stoping and listening to my wardrobe I become aware through little signs that something needs to go. It might be as simple as  noticing that something is a little worn. Or it can be that I put something on and it doesn't matter what I put it with it does not feel right....an uncomfortable feeling in my skin. When I put something on that is a true reflection of me my body sings. It feels amazing.I have found if I try to override these signs my wardrobe can begin to slide.Things can start to get out of place and messy.

Tips when cleaning out your Wardrobe.

  • Start by doing one section at a time. Even if it is one section a day for a week.
  • Take everything out and clean the cleared area.
  • Start by putting all the things that you love and feel amazing in back into your wardrobe.
  • Then slowly go through the other clothes, asking yourself questions like, When was the last time I wore this ? Do I feel comfortable in it ? Why would I want to wear something that doesn't feel amazing weather it is to garden in or go out to dinner in. No different.
  • By taking the time to feel what to let go of and what to keep in your wardrobe, your wardrobe reflects you. It will always feel lovely when you go to select something to wear as it is reflecting the loveliness of the person you are.   You will feel you in your wardrobe.

Having order as i'm cooking

Before I start preparing a meal I like to make sure the space is clear and ordered. I love taking time preparing food. By taking the time before I start to cook to  read the recipe and have a little plan I then feel focussed and everything just flows.
I love cleaning while I'm cooking. Having order in the kitchen as I cook creates a flowing space and an ease. That way their is no rush, no push just a natural flow that is reflected in what I cook and how yummy it is. Having the sink full of hot water as i'm cooking, and washing up as I go. Not leaving a pile of things to be cleaned at the end. This makes the whole process very relaxed and joyful. And it is so lovely to sit down to a meal together and know we don't  have a  lot to clear after we
eat.

Do I choose to take all of me with me each day.

We can all arrive at work looking very professional, polished, and business like. But do I take all of me to work with me each day. This may sound strange. But if I am getting ready for work each morning thinking about a thousand other things, then I am not taking the power of me with me. I  leave not feeling solid.

When we truly connect with ourselves first, and take that powerfulness with us through out our day, we will always be able to cope with whatever comes our way. Because we have a inner strength that can’t be bought or learnt from someone else. It is a strength that we carry with us, all of the time if we just stop and connect.

By taking the time preparing myself for my day, having my room all organised  and my clothes put away,  it is easy to select an outfit without having to look for things. It can also be as simple as setting out all that I am going to wear that day so that when I get dressed I am focused and not rushing, every little detail is building a stronger me. I am not taking more time to get ready, I am just taking more of me getting ready. You will notice that time starts to stand still.
I instantly feel the difference in the way I hold myself as I walk. The way my  body moves with me. How I can feel the way my clothes sit on my body, that feeling of every thing being in its place.
I glow from the inside out.

Try it and see how you go!

Seeing my cupboards as a reflection of me.

I have always felt that my cupboards were about a lot more then just my cupboards, they were reflecting what was going on for me at a much deeper level. Not just a surface thing. Sometimes even though my cupboards are already tidy, I would still  feel at  times that I needed to go through them to get rid of things that were no longer me, a feeling that there was something in them that needed to go. I recently went through my wardrobe again, letting go of a bag of clothes that no longer felt like me. Even though the wardrobe did not look that different, it was amazing to feel the difference when those few things were no longer in my room.

rituals, Routines and Rhythms.

Each morning I start my day with little rituals, I close the blinds in the lounge room that get the morning sun, then I open them after the sun has gone over. Then in the afternoon I close the blinds on the windows that get the afternoon sun. This little routine has been something that I have always done. In winter at about 3.30 I go around and close up windows and curtains so that the house will stay warm. These little self loving markers are so lovely to feel, they  are the little things that help me to build a strong foundation.  These simple little markers allow me to catch myself if I disconnect during the day. Markers that allow me to see when things are not simple and flowing the the house. When I have lost my rhythm.

I love to Clean.

2/17/2015

I love to clean.
I love using things to clean that feel lovely for me.
I love my body telling me that something feels right:
  • e.g. – using a broom to sweep that feels right for me. My husband likes big brooms for his shed, I like small for my house.
  • using a vacuum that is right for you, that works on your floor surface.
  • using products and clothes that feel right for you.

If I use a cloth that doesn't feel right, then I lost that flowing effect and ease.
All these things add up to making cleaning for you an enjoyable experience.

a new way to  springclean.

For nearly forty years I have been springcleaning my house. I would take 3 or 4 days to complete it with the house looking like a bomb had gone of in this time.
A few weeks ago I started to springclean again but I was finding it hard to do it the same way that I had previously.  I would start in my wardrobe and clean all my shoes first. This time it took me 2 days to clean my wardrobe, feeling a struggle all the time. When I came out after finally finishing my room I looked around and felt how beautiful the house already  felt. I had been trying to do something in an old way but I had already  naturally changed the way I had been doing it without realising. Now I just do things as I see them, allowing what ever pops up next to be cleaned. This makes life much easier, not making a big thing out of cleaning  the house. If I just do things as I see them then there is never an overload. Just a simple unfolding of what needs to be done next.  That way the house always feels beautiful, even when things  get a bit out of place.
Because I have built a loving foundation with our home and this is always felt.

From Hardness to a Heavenly Cloud

10/9/2014

For years each time I looked at my bed I could feel a hardness. I didn’t get what it was. It wasn't that the mattress was particularly hard, but the bed didn't seem soft and nurturing. I would change the covers, buy different pillow cases, positions the pillows in a different way. Buy softer blankets, but it didn’t change. I always knew my bed was reflecting something to me. And I didn’t want to see a hardness, I didn’t think that I was hard. I had always felt that I was gentle and warm.

But my bed just didn’t change. Then I started to feel that the hardness was how I had been treating myself, and not about how I was with others. When I started to be more loving and gentle with myself, being more allowing of me, then my bed started to unfold into a Heavenly , Soft, Warm Gentle cloud.

From my own experience and from working with clients I have seen how a bed reflects how the person is with themselves and how much they give themselves permission to deeply nurture, there are patterns that can be seen in a bed! It is an opportunity to reflect.

How do you feel about your bed? Does it truly support you?
